Columns and beams were made from grain-matched, glued laminated Douglas fir timbers, called glulams, giving the house the beauty of live timber with the stability of engineered wood. Custom glazing and flashing systems were designed to complement the timber frame and open interiors to terraces and 360° views.
Reclaimed redwood was sourced and specially milled for siding. The cedar shingle and copper-clad roof has 5-foot overhangs that protect the siding and temper light flooding into the house, even in winter.
