The owners of this condo wanted a clean yet somewhat traditional aesthetic that would be amenable to displaying their artwork.
Schultz Miller worked with architect Mark Nelson and with one of the owners who has a design background on a top-to-bottom remodel that includes new bathrooms and a new kitchen, pre-finished wide-plank flooring, lowered ceilings that accommodate a new HVAC system, and lots of built-in cabinetry. Cabinet doors conceal a TV over the fireplace, and a bookshelf swings open to reveal a hidden door.
The crisp kitchen features a mix of wood lower cabinets and light gray, high-gloss upper cabinets. The modernist kitchen, with its open corner, gives way to traditional moldings and a chandelier over the dining table.
Throughout the project, we coordinated our work on the unit with an exterior overhaul of the entire building that was taking place at the same time.
