Schultz Miller teamed up with architect Stuart Silk on the remodel of this four-story home on Queen Anne that transformed a warren of small rooms into light-filled open space.
Originally built in 1901, the house had gone through many mismatched remodels over the years. Following Silk’s design, Schultz Miller removed numerous interior walls and the ceiling between the entry area and the upstairs, opening up the first floor and creating a dramatic, two-story entry.
The kitchen, which features a 24-ft.-long island, now connects to the rest of the house. A wall of tall windows opens the living spaces to a new patio with an outdoor fireplace and sweeping views of the city.
